The goal of the Agri-Cultura-Natura Transylvania Association is to contribute to the development of Transylvania, especially in the region of the Csíki Basin, and the Gyimes valley. We strive to do development projects in a way that the region's cultural and natural heritage is preserved as much as possible. Our approach is not exclusively conservative, the development is an unavoidable process, so our goal is to support development along certain core values.
Our employees are well-trained professionals who usually have many years of experience in several fields.

Protecting ancient trees and wood pastures
Transylvania holds a big proportion of Europe's medieval wood pastures of extraordinary natural and cultural value. These ancient trees are threatened by farm modernisation or negligance. Landcare organizations in five countries, collect good examples of agricultural practices that promote carbon sequestration. As a result of the project, we formulate policy proposals for national and European decision-makers. The project is implemented with the co-financing of the EUKI program of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
BARN CONVERSION MODEL DESIGNS WILL BE PREPARED WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF OUR TWO-YEAR PROJECT

Three countries, six architects and twelve visual artists will be involved in the creation of the works of art and building transformation plans, which aim to utilize the barns, either as a cultural space or as a residential or business building. The project is implemented with the co-financing of the Creative Europe program of the European Union.
FOLK / VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE: FROM THE TRADITIONS TO THE FUTURE

Conference of the Committee for Folk Architecture of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Veszprém. Co-organized by the Research Institute of Art Theory and Methodology of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA MMKI) and the Symmetry Foundation.
At the conference, Gergely Rodics gave a presentation on the village scape protection program of the Pogány-Havas Regional Association and the current built heritage projects of ACNT.
AGROECOLOGY EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS CREATED WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE trAEce PROJECT ARE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

The agroecology curriculum compiled by experts from 6 organizations in 5 countries (including staff from our association) as part of a three-year collaboration has been completed. The practical course material for farmers covers a wide variety of topics and describes many areas of agroecology.

The Agri-Cultura-Natura Transylvaniae Association became a founding member of the Europe-wide Network "Landcare Europe".
The essence of landcare is for each community to consciously plan and manage the cultural landscape it lives in. Our network (to be extended) which currently covers eight EU member states, wants to help initiate and support such activities.
OUR trAEce PROJECT ON AGROECOLOGY HAS LAUNCHED

The trAEce project’s aim is to provide training tools for farmers and trainers, which will assist them in integrating agroecological principles into their agricultural practices.
