About the event
In the 2021 season, we tested twelve potato cultivars in organic farms in four Szeklerland farms (Gyergyócsomafalva, Gyimesfelsőlok, Csíkmadaras, Csíklázárfalva). Our goal was to gain experience in growing different varieties organically. At our event, we would like to share the field results of the experiment with those interested; and in the framework of the tasting, the participants could get to know their market characteristics by comparing the taste and other gastronomic properties of each variety. For Szőcs Előd the food culture of Szeklerland has been very important for a long time. As a professional chef, he will also bake, cook and talk about the differences in the use of different types of potatoes in the kitchen. Program: - Description of the project providing the background for the experiment - Presentation of the experiment and the results - "Competition of flavors" - tasting and ranking of organically grown potatoes
